How do I Login to cPanel?

What is an email forwarder? #

An email forwarder in cPanel allows you to automatically redirect incoming emails from one address to another. This is useful if you want to consolidate emails from multiple accounts into a single inbox or ensure important messages reach the right team members without requiring them to check multiple accounts.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • For security purposes, forwarding between multiple domains is disabled by default
  • If you require forwarding to external domains, please lodge a support ticket with the details of your request

For cPanel-hosted email addresses, you can create email forwarders to send copies of mail delivered to one address to the inbox of another, separate, address.

As an example use case – any email addressed to user-A@ and user-b@ can be forwarded to a third address, user-GROUP@

  • user-A@mydomain.com  >>>  user-GROUP@mydomain.com
  • user-B@mydomain.com  >>>  user-GROUP@mydomain.com

Please note, that forwarding to external domains (e.g. user@domain1.com >> user@domain2.com) is disabled by default for security purposes. Please contact support if you need to external forwarders.

Creating internal email forwarders #

To create an internal email forwarder (e.g., user-A@mydomain.com >> user-B@mydomain.com), please follow the steps below:

1. First, Login to cPanel

2. Then, navigate to the ‘Forwarders‘ tool located under the ‘Email section

3. Click on the ‘Add Forwarder‘ button

4. Enter the forwarder details

  • In the ‘Address to Forward‘ field:
    • Enter the username of the email address you want to forward from (i.e. the part of the address before the @ symbol)
  • In the ‘Domain‘ field:
    • Select the domain from down-down menu if you have more than one (i.e. the part of the address after the @ symbol)
  • For the ‘Destination‘ section:
    • Select ‘Forward to Email Address’
    • Enter the destination email address where you want email forwarded to

Creating external email forwarders #

To create external email forwarders (e.g. user-A@mydomain.com >> user-A@gmail.com), please lodge a support ticket with details of your request – For security purposes, forwarding between multiple domains is disabled by default.

Once you set up an email forwarder in cPanel, it automatically redirects incoming emails to your chosen destination. This helps streamline email management and ensures you receive important messages. If you need to create an email forwarder in cPanel for external domains or need further assistance, contact our support team.

PLEASE NOTE: For security purposes, forwarding between multiple domains is disabled. If you require forwarding to external domains, please lodge a support ticket with details of your request.
